Tim Dallas-Chapman is the new Head of Freemasonry in Jersey.
This follows a memorable installation ceremony held at the Radisson Hotel on Friday 13 December, attended by over 300 freemasons and dignitaries from the United Grand Lodge of England and Provinces throughout the UK.
Tim’s appointment marks a new chapter for freemasonry in the Island. He will lead the local strategy to build on a thriving membership, continue the legacy of community engagement and charitable giving, and uphold the values that define Freemasonry: Integrity, Friendship, Respect, and Service. He is the 14th Head of Jersey Freemasonry and takes over from Graham Spence who held the post since 2020. Ian Crosby was appointed his Deputy.
Freemasonry in Jersey has long been a cornerstone of the Island’s charitable community. In the past ten years, Jersey Freemasons have distributed over £850,000 to local charities and other worthy causes. These donations form part of the Jersey for Jersey appeal and support a wide range of initiatives, including those that aid children, the elderly, the disadvantaged, and the wider community. Children’s charity, Lifelites, and Family Nursing & Homecare are two or Jersey Freemason’s largest beneficiaries.
Tim Dallas-Chapman said:
“I am honoured to lead Freemasonry in Jersey and to build on the tremendous work already done by my predecessors. Freemasons in Jersey are not only committed to the principles of our craft, but also to making a tangible difference in our local community. Together, we will continue to serve and support those in need, helping to create a better Jersey for all.”
