The travels of
W.Bro Bean Le Bear
The Provincial Grand Master announced the launch of Bear Miles at the annual communication on the 9th October 2014. The concept behind Bear Miles is simple, yet affords every Lodge the opportunity to help finance the purchase of TLC bears whilst maintaining awareness of the scheme and having some fun in the process.
That process couldn't be simpler. Each of our ten Craft Lodges takes possession of a toy masonic bear, called W Bro Bean Le Bear, for a calendar month from November 2014 to August 2015 inclusive.
The Lodges commit to making a donation to TLC at the end of their month (a suggested target of a minimum £100) along with a photograph(s) as detailed below, at which time Bean moves swiftly onto the next Lodge.
Whilst in a Lodge's possession the Lodge members are asked to provide verified / validated photograph(s) of Bean in one or more of three categories:
· Furthest distance from Jersey
· Greatest altitude (not on an aeroplane)
· Most exotic , glamorous or unusual location
The photographs will be featured in a Bear Miles report in Regular Steps, here on the Provincial website and on both Twitter and Face Book sites.
It is hoped that all Lodges will see the benefits of the Bear Miles initiative and actively embrace supporting this most humanitarian, caring and worthy scheme. And have some fun seeing W Bro Bean Le Bear on his travels!
